Thankyou for your concern. I still have a bruise. Bastard!! I can now add donkeys to the list of hoofed animals I have a justifiable fear of!
What cloven footed beasts do you have irrational fear of?
Uh-uh!! I never said irrational! I believe the word was "justifiable" and by that I mean totally rational.
Four years and three months ago I was bucked off a horse. I still have limited movement and pain. No I am not in a wheelchair or anything but it took a long time to not be in constant pain.
And four days ago I got bitten by a donkey who sucked me in with kisses and doe-eyes, and then BAM! when I wasn't looking in went the teeth. Into my thigh.
That's the list. Cows I'm ok with. Sheep I have much affection for, my first pet was a sheep.
Sloths, although not cloven footed but rather three-toed, are possibly the COOLEST creatures ever invented. I have had the pleasure of seeing one cross the road. True story!! I even have photos (there was plenty of time, he didn't exactly move fast!!)

I'm pretty sure I recognise that donkey. Were you at Chesterfield Farm at the time? Or are they just cousins or something?
Did you know I have a two toed lesser known brother.
I don't know any more than that.
